Chuck Hollis Departs VMware For Oracle

Oracle on Monday, reporting to Executive Vice-President of converged infrastructure Dave Donatelli.
Hollis announced the news on his blog, saying that after 21 years in the Oracle earlier this year from HP.

Hollis changed roles just two years ago, moving from Global Marketing CTO at VMware.

Known for his prolific blogging, Hollis recently stirred up controversy with a series of blogs targeting hyper-converged startup Nutanix, comparing it with VMware's own VSAN product. Industry observers have been watching the ongoing spat with interest, as it highlights the degree of upheaval converged and hyper-converged startups have created.

We can expect that Hollis will continue to apply his particular brand of enthusiasm for his new cause at Oracle.
