Cloudflare has lost about 22% of its domains after Freenom shut down. Freenom exited the domain name business after tussling with Facebook over abuse complaints. 22% is a lot of domains, but since most of them were (probably) scammers using Cloudflare's free services, this is probably saving Cloudflare money.

Friend of The Crux Chris Wahl has a good article about improving documentation practices of engineering teams.

A lament about Identity and Access Management (IAM) in the cloud and how it is too complicated. I have to agree. These things start out well-meaning but they rapidly explode into unmanageable beasts. My theory is that we need more librarians and people trained in information management working with IT teams. Librarian is on my very short list of "first hires" for setting up a new team.
